How to merge Fortnite accounts

Epic Games finally allows you to combine multiple Fortnite accounts. This means that if you have two accounts on Fortnite, you can link them to access your cosmetics or V-Bucks from the same account. Sony is to blame for this mess. Fortnite players on PlayStation 4 had to create separate accounts previously because that’s how Sony works. Sony finally realized the importance of cross-platform play and has now made it possible, but not without some headaches.

Epic Games allows you to transfer your cosmetics and V-Bucks to your preferred account. After you have done that, your primary account can be used on any platform of your choice, including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch.

The secondary account will be disabled once it is merged with the primary account. One account must have been logged on to Xbox One or Switch before September 28, 2018, in order to be eligible. The other account must be on PS4 prior to September 28, 2018. Epic Games warns that it may take up to a few weeks for your items to be transferred.

Your secondary account will not allow you to merge your progress in Save The World and Creative Islands.
